Exists

Exists is a Malaysian rock band formed in Johor Bahru in 1991, originally performing under the name Exist before adopting the current spelling with their fourth album. The band built a loyal following in the Malay-language rock scene through a run of studio albums released across the 1990s and early 2000s, moving from melodic hard rock into heavier, riff-driven territory as their sound matured.

The group first reached wide audiences with the ballad «Untukmu Ibu» and their self-titled debut album, then consolidated that popularity with «Anugerah» and «Diammu Gunung Berapi», the latter often cited as a turning point that pushed them into the upper tier of Malaysian rock acts. «Jangan Gentar», released under the Exists name, and the following «Mutan» reinforced their reputation for combining hard rock aggression with the emotional power ballads that Malaysian rock audiences favored.

Later albums such as «Ada», «Seperti Dulu» and «Paragon» showed the band experimenting with new arrangements while keeping their core identity intact. Songs like «Alasanmu», «Rindu Serindu Rindunya» and «Dengan atau Tanpamu» remain staples for longtime fans, and Exists is remembered as one of the steadier, longer-running acts of Malaysia's 1990s rock revival.
