Eslabon Armado

Eslabon Armado is a regional Mexican band from California, United States, founded in 2020 by brothers Pedro and Brian Tovar along with Gabriel Hidalgo. The group's roots go back to 2017 when the Tovar brothers began performing together, and their breakthrough came after Pedro Tovar started posting cover videos in the regional Mexican style on social media, which quickly went viral and attracted industry attention. This led to a recording contract with DEL Records in 2020.

The band's sound blends corridos, baladas and banda-style instrumentation, drawing heavily on the influence of Ariel Camacho, with lyrics centered on love, heartbreak and the everyday experiences of young people. Sung largely in Spanish with Pedro Tovar's distinctive requinto guitar work at the forefront, their music helped push the modern corridos tumbados and regional Mexican wave into the mainstream, resonating especially with a young, bicultural audience in the US and Mexico.

Eslabon Armado achieved global crossover success with «Ella Baila Sola», a collaboration with fellow Mexican-American star Peso Pluma that became one of the biggest regional Mexican hits internationally, charting on the Billboard Hot 100 and helping bring the genre unprecedented mainstream visibility. Other songs such as «Jugaste y Sufrí», «Con Tus Besos» and «Ando Más Que Mal» further cemented the group's standing as one of the leading acts of the genre's new generation.
