Eric Nam

Eric Nam is a Korean-American singer, songwriter, and television host born on November 17, 1988, in Atlanta, Georgia. Raised in the United States, he studied international studies at Boston College before working briefly as a business analyst in New York. Uploading cover songs to YouTube led to attention from South Korean broadcasters, and after appearing on an MBC audition program he moved to Seoul, debuting in 2013 with the album CLOUD 9.

Nam built his career at the crossroads of K-pop, pop, and R&B, blending smooth vocals with polished, radio-friendly production and English-language songwriting sensibilities uncommon among his Korean peers. Songs like «Eyes Nose Lips» (a cover of Taeyang's original), «Congratulations», and «놓지마 (Hold Me)» showcased his warm tone and emotional delivery, while his duet «Spring Love» with Wendy of Red Velvet broadened his mainstream visibility in South Korea.
