Emina Jahović

Emina Jahović is a Serbian-Turkish singer-songwriter, model and actress, born in Novi Pazar, Serbia, in 1982. She rose to prominence through regional music festivals before releasing her debut album in the early 2000s, and became one of the most recognizable pop stars of the former Yugoslav music scene, earning the nickname «Pop Princeza» (Pop Princess). Her breakthrough to wider commercial success came with the 2008 album «Vila».

Her sound sits within Balkan mainstream pop, often incorporating R&B and light rap-influenced production, and she has written or co-written most of the lyrics on her records herself. Beyond music, she expanded into television, notably starring in the Turkish series «Lale Devri», and served as a judge on «X Factor Adria», reflecting her crossover appeal between the Serbian and Turkish entertainment industries.

Jahović also built a lifestyle brand around her name, launching a perfume called «Closer» and a cosmetics line, Yaemina. She has released several studio albums across her career, with «Dalje» issued in 2018, and remains a prominent live performer, having headlined large concerts such as her show at the Sava Centar in Belgrade.
