EMIN

EMIN (full name Emin Agalarov) is an Azerbaijani-Russian singer, songwriter and businessman, born in Baku in 1979. His family relocated to Moscow when he was a child, and he later finished his education in the United States, where he had his first serious exposure to music. His grandfather's love of jazz records and a close family friendship with legendary Soviet-Azerbaijani singer Muslim Magomayev shaped his musical direction early on, and Magomayev remains a cited idol and mentor figure for him.

EMIN debuted as a recording artist with the album «STILL» in 2006, which sold well across Russia and the CIS and launched him as a pop performer singing mostly in Russian, alongside songs with Azerbaijani and English material. He followed it with a run of English-language albums — «Incredible», «Obsession» and «Devotion» — released in quick succession, showing an ambition to reach beyond the Russian-speaking market with a glossy, radio-friendly pop-rap sound.

Beyond music, EMIN is known as a businessman connected to Azerbaijani real-estate and hospitality ventures, and he holds the title of Honored Artist of Azerbaijan. His catalog blends Russian-language pop ballads with rap-inflected tracks and songs dedicated to his homeland, reflecting a dual identity as both a Baku-rooted artist and a fixture of the Russian pop scene.
