Emilia

Emilia, full name María Emilia Mernes, is an Argentine singer born in Nogoyá, Entre Ríos, who first gained recognition as a member of the Uruguayan cumbia-pop group Rombai before launching a solo career in 2018. Her solo debut single «Recalienta» set the tone for a sound built on Latin pop, trap and R&B, sung with a distinctive breathy, conversational delivery.

Her 2022 debut album «tú crees en mí?» made her one of the leading voices of the new generation of Argentine urban pop, featuring high-profile collaborations with artists like Duki, Nicki Nicole and Tiago PZK. She followed it with «.mp3» in 2023, a stylistically playful record that leaned further into electronic and dance-pop textures while keeping her R&B-inflected vocal style at the center.
