Ember Island

Ember Island is a Swedish indie electronic and synthpop trio built around producer and songwriter Didrik Franzén, singer Alexandra Andersson, and guitarist Joakim Axling. The group emerged with a distinctive approach that combined shimmering, atmospheric synth textures with breathy, emotive female vocals, positioning them within the broader wave of Scandinavian electronic-pop acts.

The project first gained wide attention through reworked covers of well-known songs, transforming them with dreamy production and a more delicate, indie sensibility, most notably their reimagining of Radiohead's «Creep». These covers helped the band build an international online following before they released substantial original material.
