Ёлка (Elka)

Elka, born Elizaveta Ivantsiv in 1982 in Uzhhorod, western Ukraine, is a pop singer who built her career across both the Ukrainian and Russian markets. She started out in a local Uzhhorod rap group before signing to producer ШEFF and his label 100RO in 2004, releasing a debut album that produced the hit «Девочка в Пежо». After a few years of mixed results and a split from that label around 2010, she moved to Velvet Music, working with Liana Meladze and Alena Mikhailova.

That change marked a turning point: her single «Прованс» became a signature hit and one of the most-played songs on Russian radio, followed by other big singles such as «На большом воздушном шаре» and «Около тебя». By 2012 she was cited as the most rotated artist on Russian radio stations, and her subsequent album Точки расставлены was well received by critics and listeners alike.

Elka's sound sits at the crossroads of pop, R&B-inflected melody, and light rap-pop energy, built around catchy hooks and emotionally direct lyrics. Freed from her earlier exclusive contract, she went on to collaborate with a range of other artists, expanding her presence across the Russian-language pop scene while remaining best known for her run of early-2010s hits.
