About the artist
Elephante is the stage name of American producer Tim Wu, who traded a conventional post-Harvard corporate career for electronic music, writing and producing tracks in hotel rooms and weekend sessions before committing to it full time. He built his reputation in progressive and electro house, scoring multiple number-one remixes on Hype Machine for well-known pop artists before releasing original singles like «I Want You» and «Age of Innocence» through Armada Music.
His breakthrough project, the 2016 EP I Am The Elephante, showcased a melodic, festival-ready sound blending progressive house, future bass and hip-hop-influenced production, establishing him as part of the wave of college-educated, internet-native dance producers who rose through blogs and remix culture rather than traditional club circuits. His music favors big, emotive drops and clean, radio-friendly vocal hooks over harder underground textures.
Since then Elephante has continued releasing singles and EPs, touring festival stages and maintaining an independent, direct-to-fan approach to his career, often writing candidly about the tension between conventional success and creative fulfillment that shaped his transition from Tim Wu to Elephante.
