El Alfa

El Alfa, born Emanuel Herrera Batista on December 18, 1990, in the Haina area near Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is widely regarded as the leading global ambassador of dembow, the fast, percussive genre born in the Dominican Republic. He began his career as part of a short-lived duo before striking out on his own with hits like «Coche Bomba», «Muevete Jevi» and «Tarzan», which established him as a rising force in his home country's urban scene.

His breakthrough came through tracks such as «Millonario Al Tiro», «Banda de Camión» and «Suave», records that turned him into a national sensation and opened doors to collaborations with artists like Jowell & Randy and Nicky Jam. His profile expanded dramatically after appearing on Bad Bunny's debut album on the track «La Romana», a collaboration that helped push dembow to an international audience and cemented El Alfa's reputation as the genre's most influential figure.
