Edwin McCain is an American singer-songwriter from Greenville, South Carolina, who emerged in the mid-1990s as part of a wave of Southern roots-rock and adult contemporary artists. McCain is best known for his 1998 single «I'll Be», a tender acoustic-driven ballad that became a wedding-day staple and one of the defining adult contemporary hits of the late 1990s.
