Edis Görgülü, known simply as Edis, is a Turkish singer and songwriter born on 28 November 1990 in London and raised in İzmir. He studied at Galatasaray University's Communication Faculty before settling in Istanbul, where he first tried to break into the music industry without success and instead found early work as an actor, appearing in television series such as Dinle Sevgili and Hayatımın Rolü in the early 2010s.

His breakthrough as a recording artist came through his manager, who encouraged him to pursue an album after years of acting. His debut single «Benim Ol», released in 2014, became a hit and reached number two on the Türkçe Top 20 chart, establishing him as a rising pop voice. Subsequent singles «Dudak» and «Çok Çok» repeated that success, while «Roman» went all the way to number one, cementing his place in contemporary Turkish pop.

Edis released his debut studio album Ân in March 2018, blending radio-friendly pop with rap-influenced textures that reflect his versatility as a performer. Critics have praised his distinctive vocal style and stage presence, and he has received a Turkey Music Award among other honors and nominations, making him one of the notable names to emerge from Turkey's pop scene in the 2010s.
