EDEN

EDEN is the stage name of Jonathon Ng, an Irish singer, songwriter and producer from Dublin. He began releasing music as a teenager under earlier aliases, including The Eden Project, before settling on the simplified EDEN name in 2015 as his sound shifted from more conventional electronic dance styles toward a moodier, indie-leaning pop.

Much of EDEN's early rise came through self-released material on SoundCloud, where tracks such as «Fumes» and later «Gravity» built a devoted online fanbase largely without major-label support. His sound blends airy, layered production with introspective, often melancholic songwriting, drawing on influences ranging from R&B and electronic pop to rock. His debut studio album, Vertigo (2018), and follow-up no future (2020), explored themes of anxiety, self-doubt and growing up, while later releases such as ICYMI (2022) leaned into a more guitar-driven, live-band sound.

EDEN has built his career largely independently of major-label machinery, cultivating a close relationship with fans through social media and extensive touring. His work is often cited as an influence within the bedroom-pop and alternative pop scenes that flourished in the late 2010s, and songs like «sex», «drugs» and «crash» remain fan favorites for their emotionally raw lyricism and atmospheric production.
