About the artist
Echosmith is an American alternative-pop band formed in 2009 by four siblings from the Sierota family — Sydney, Noah, Graham, and Jamie — before continuing as a trio after Jamie's departure. The band's name reflects the idea of a blacksmith shaping metal, reimagined as shaping sound. They broke through with «Cool Kids», a sleeper hit released in 2013 that eventually climbed into the upper reaches of the Billboard Hot 100 nearly a year after its release.
Their debut album, «Talking Dreams», released in October 2013, established their signature sound: bright, synth-driven pop with warm harmonies and an upbeat, nostalgic feel, drawing comparisons to acts like Metric and Phoenix while carving out a distinctly youthful identity. Follow-up singles «Come Together» and «Bright» continued to build their catalog of anthemic, hook-heavy pop songs. Sydney Sierota's clear, expressive lead vocals became a defining feature of the band's sound.
Echosmith continued releasing music in the years following their breakthrough, further developing their blend of pop, rock, and electronic influences across singles and later projects. Sydney Sierota is married to Cameron Quiseng of Allstar Weekend, connecting Echosmith to another well-known pop-rock act within the same scene. The band remains best known for capturing a wistful, coming-of-age energy that resonated widely with young listeners.
