Eagle-Eye Cherry

Eagle-Eye Cherry is a Swedish singer-songwriter born in Stockholm in 1968, son of jazz trumpeter Don Cherry and half-brother of singer Neneh Cherry. He grew up around musicians and initially played drums in bands before stepping out as a solo artist in the mid-1990s. His breakthrough came with the 1997 album «Desireless» and its hit single «Save Tonight», which became a worldwide radio staple and remains his signature song.

Musically, Cherry sits at the crossroads of pop, rock and soul, favoring warm, mid-tempo arrangements built on acoustic guitar, soulful vocal delivery and hook-driven choruses. Songs like «Falling In Love Again» and «Are You Still Having Fun?» continued this melodic, radio-friendly approach through the late 1990s and early 2000s. He has also shown a more introspective, folk-tinged side on tracks such as «Dream Away».

Over the following decades Cherry released further albums including «Living in the Present Future» and «Can’t Get Enough», maintaining a steady presence in European pop-rock circles. He has occasionally worked with other Scandinavian artists and continues to tour, with «Save Tonight» keeping his name alive for new generations of listeners.
