About the artist
Dutch Nazari, the stage name of Edoardo “Duccio” Nazari, is an Italian rapper and singer-songwriter born in 1989 near Padua, in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy. Raised by an Italian father and an Australian mother, he grew up immersed in the Paduan hip hop scene, first making his name as part of the collective Massima Tackenza before striking out on his own in the mid-2010s.
As a solo artist, Dutch Nazari carved out a distinctive space between rap and traditional Italian cantautorato (singer-songwriter tradition), blending rhythmic flow with melodic, often introspective songwriting. After a run of early EPs, he released his debut album «Amore povero» in 2017, a record that established his reputation for lyrical depth and emotional honesty rather than chart-oriented bravado.
His catalog, including tracks like «Miró», «Calma le onde» and «Falling Crumbs», reflects a songwriter's sensibility layered over hip hop foundations, placing him among a generation of Italian artists who resist easy genre labels. He remains a respected, if not mainstream-dominant, voice in Italy's independent rap and singer-songwriter crossover scene.
