DPR IAN

DPR IAN, born Christian Yu, is a Korean-Australian singer, songwriter, rapper, director and composer, and a core member of the creative collective Dream Perfect Regime (DPR). Before his solo career he was known as Rome, leader and main rapper of the K-pop boy group C-Clown, which disbanded in 2015. Drawing on that difficult experience within the industry, he later channeled his struggles with mental health into deeply personal solo work.

His 2021 debut album, «Moodswings in This Order», established DPR IAN as a distinctive voice blending R&B, alternative pop and rock textures with candid, confessional lyricism about bipolar disorder, self-acceptance and emotional turbulence. The record's breakout single, «No Blueberries», featuring fellow DPR member DPR LIVE and Korean rapper CL, showcased his cinematic songwriting and genre-fluid production sensibility, informed by his parallel work as a music video director within the DPR collective.

He followed up with «Moodswings In To Order» in 2022 and continued exploring introspective themes on the «Dear Insanity…» EP, launched with the single «Peanut Butter & Tears» in 2023. As both a performer and visual director, DPR IAN has helped define DPR's signature aesthetic of emotionally raw storytelling paired with striking cinematic visuals, touring extensively worldwide with the collective.
