Don Miguelo

Don Miguelo, born Miguel Ángel Valerio Lebrón in San Francisco de Macorís, is a Dominican reggaeton and urban artist who rose to fame with hits like «7 Locas». Before his music career took off he worked as a tailor, and his first recorded song was «La Cola de Motora». He belongs to the generation of Dominican urban artists who helped push the genre beyond Puerto Rico's dominance in the 2000s, mixing reggaeton with dembow and merengue-urbano influences distinctive to the Dominican scene.

His debut album, «Contra el Tiempo», recorded and mixed in the Dominican Republic, featured tracks such as «Ay Que Tú Quiere», «Acelerao Y Pico» and «El Ponchao», and included collaborations with prominent Dominican artists like Rafy Mercenario, Frank Reyes and Monchy & Alexandra. This cross-genre approach — bridging reggaeton with bachata and merengue stars — became a hallmark of his catalog.

Over his career Don Miguelo built a catalog of dance-floor-oriented urban hits, including «Y Que Fue?», «El Mofle», «Discoteca» and «Nota de Pasión», establishing himself as one of the recognizable voices of Dominican reggaeton alongside remixes and collaborations such as «Llevo La Vainita (Remix)».
