Dominic Fike

Dominic Fike is an American singer-songwriter, rapper and multi-instrumentalist from Naples, Florida, who emerged in the late 2010s blending pop-punk, R&B, hip-hop and lo-fi rock into a loose, genre-agnostic style. Raised by a single mother, he began playing guitar as a child and cut his teeth in local Florida rap collectives before a rough-cut demo tape led to a widely reported major-label deal with Columbia Records. His breakout EP Don't Forget About Me, Demos (2018) showcased his knack for hooky, off-kilter melodies delivered in a laid-back, half-sung half-rapped drawl.

Fike's sound draws as much from Weezer and Red Hot Chili Peppers as from contemporary rap and R&B, giving songs like «3 Nights» and «Phone Numbers» a hazy, guitar-driven pop appeal that stood apart from his hip-hop peers. His debut album What Could Possibly Go Wrong (2020) cemented his reputation for candid, diaristic songwriting about addiction, fame and relationships.

Beyond music, Fike gained mainstream visibility as an actor in the HBO series Euphoria, and he has continued to release music including the album Sunburn, further blurring the line between indie pop, rock and rap sensibilities.
