DJ Snake

DJ Snake, born William Sami Étienne Grigahcine, is a French DJ and producer of Algerian descent who grew up in Paris and became one of the defining figures of mid-2010s EDM. He started DJing as a teenager and began producing in his late teens, blending hip-hop influences with electronic dance music. Early studio work on Lady Gaga's Born This Way earned him industry recognition before his own breakout arrived.

His 2013 single «Turn Down for What», made with Lil Jon, fused trap and EDM into a massive crossover hit that reached the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the decade's defining dance anthems. He followed it with a run of global hits including «Lean On» with Major Lazer and MØ, «Let Me Love You» with Justin Bieber, and «Taki Taki» with Selena Gomez, Ozuna and Cardi B.

DJ Snake's sound draws on trap percussion, Middle Eastern and Latin melodic textures, and festival-ready electronic production, giving his tracks a distinctive identity within mainstream EDM.
