About the artist
Diddy – Dirty Money was an R&B and hip-hop collective formed by Sean «Diddy» Combs alongside singer Dawn Richard, formerly of Danity Kane, and singer-songwriter Kalenna Harper. Conceived as a vehicle for what Diddy described as «future soul», the trio blended his Bad Boy-era sensibilities with a more electronic, dance-influenced sound.
Their sole studio album, «Last Train to Paris» (2010), drew on Italo-disco, tech-house and pop-rap textures, yielding singles such as «Coming Home» and «Angels» that reached international audiences and showcased a glossier, club-oriented direction than Combs's earlier work. The group also released a mixtape, «Love Love vs. Hate Love», in 2011.
Dirty Money disbanded in 2012, but «Last Train to Paris» is remembered as an ambitious, genre-blending project that pushed mainstream R&B toward electronic and European dance influences ahead of similar trends elsewhere in pop music.
