Before signing a deal, she built a following posting acoustic covers of her favorite songs on YouTube, and it was one of these — a stripped-down take on Khalid's «Location» — that convinced the producers to seek her out.

Her sound blends R&B and hip-hop with a breezy, radio-ready pop sensibility, shaped by early singles like «Tomboy», «Lo Lo» and «North$ide», which introduced her confident, laid-back delivery to a wider audience.
