About the artist
Dayglow is the solo indie-pop project of Sloan Struble, a musician from Texas who built his early recordings largely on his own, writing, performing, and producing tracks in his childhood bedroom before moving on to fuller studio productions. His breakout single «Can I Call You Tonight?» became a slow-burn hit years after its release, propelled largely by streaming and social media, and turned Dayglow into one of the more visible names in the 2010s-2020s wave of bedroom pop.
Musically, Dayglow blends warm synth textures, jangly guitars, and buoyant melodies with an unmistakably nostalgic, sunlit tone that draws comparisons to 1980s soft rock and yacht rock as much as to contemporary indie pop. Songs like «Hot Rod» and «Close To You» showcase Struble's knack for hook-driven songwriting paired with an upbeat, feel-good production style that stands in contrast to much of the more melancholic bedroom-pop scene around him.
Over the course of several albums, Dayglow has grown from a DIY bedroom project into a full live band and a fixture on festival lineups, while Struble has continued to write and produce most of the material himself, retaining the intimate, self-made character that defined the project from the start.
