Daya

Daya is an American pop singer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who emerged in the mid-2010s with a bright, radio-friendly pop sound anchored by strong, expressive vocals. She first broke through with the single «Hide Away», which became a national radio hit, before achieving her widest reach as a featured vocalist on The Chainsmokers' «Don't Let Me Down».

Her music sits within polished, electronic-tinged pop and pop-R&B, marked by hooky choruses and confident, youthful energy, as heard on songs such as «Sit Still, Look Pretty», «New» and «Insomnia». Her debut album, Sit Still, Look Pretty, showcased this sound with themes of self-assurance and independence aimed at a young pop audience.
