David Pomeranz

David Pomeranz is an American singer, songwriter and pianist who has worked across pop, soft rock and adult contemporary music since the 1970s. He is best known internationally as a songwriter, having penned or co-written songs that became hits for other artists — most notably «Trying to Get the Feeling Again», later a hit for Barry Manilow — alongside his own recordings such as «Old Songs» and «Got to Believe in Magic».

Pomeranz built a particularly devoted following in the Philippines, where several of his ballads, including «Born for You» and «Until I Fall in Love Again», became enduring staples of the local pop and OPM (Original Pilipino Music) landscape, covered repeatedly by Filipino artists over the decades. His style favors lush, piano-led arrangements, romantic lyrics and polished vocal melodies typical of the late-1970s and 1980s adult contemporary sound.

Beyond his own catalog, Pomeranz has written for film and stage and continued to perform live for audiences that span the US and Southeast Asia, remaining a respected craftsman of the melodic pop ballad.
