David Crowder Band

David Crowder Band was an American worship music collective from Waco, Texas, formed in the mid-1990s around singer and multi-instrumentalist David Crowder. Often stylized as David Crowder*Band, the six-member group blended contemporary Christian lyrics with alternative rock, bluegrass, and electronic textures, giving their sound a distinctly experimental edge within the modern worship genre. Their music grew out of a college ministry connected to Baylor University and later became closely tied to the Passion movement led by Louie Giglio.

The band released a string of studio albums that became staples of congregational and radio worship music, with songs like «How He Loves», «O Praise Him (All This For A King)», and «Everything Glorious» reaching wide audiences beyond the church setting. Their arrangements often paired traditional hymn structures, including reworkings of hymns like «All Creatures of Our God and King», with unconventional instrumentation and energetic live performances.

In 2012 the band announced that their album Give Us Rest would be their final release, after which David Crowder launched a solo career as Crowder, while most of the remaining members regrouped as The Digital Age. Despite disbanding, David Crowder Band's catalog remains widely played in churches and on Christian radio, and its influence is still felt in the modern worship genre.
