Daniella Monet is an American actress and singer born on March 1, 1989, in West Hills, California, of Chilean, Croatian and Italian descent. She built her early career on Nickelodeon, first as Rebecca «Becky» Martin on Zoey 101 and later, more prominently, as Trina Vega, the comically self-absorbed aspiring star on Victorious alongside Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice.
Her musical output is closely tied to her acting persona rather than a separate pop career: as Trina Vega she performed songs for the show's soundtrack, giving her an early platform as a singer within the show's fictional world. In 2016 she returned to music more directly with the single «Chicago!», marking a comeback attempt after stepping back from the spotlight.
