Damien Jurado

Damien Jurado is an American singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington, who emerged in the 1990s Pacific Northwest indie scene with a spare, intimate style built on fingerpicked guitar and hushed, often melancholic vocals. He began releasing music through Sub Pop, home to many of that era's Seattle acts, and built a devoted following through albums that favored raw emotional honesty over polish, frequently dealing with loss, faith, and fractured relationships.
