Daði Freyr

Daði Freyr Pétursson is an Icelandic singer, songwriter and producer known for his quirky, synth-driven pop and a memorable one-man-band stage persona built around matching outfits and deadpan choreography. He first drew attention as a member of the Icelandic band RetRoBot before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist performing with a rotating cast of family and friends billed as Gagnamagnið. His breakthrough came with «Think About Things», a bouncy, hook-laden track that won Iceland's Söngvakeppni in 2020 and turned into an internet phenomenon after that year's Eurovision Song Contest was cancelled due to the pandemic.
