CYN, born Cynthia Nabozny, is an American singer-songwriter from Detroit, Michigan, who later moved to Chicago to study at DePaul University, graduating in 2016 with a degree in management information systems. She relocated to Los Angeles the same year to pursue music full-time and was eventually signed to Katy Perry's imprint Unsub Records, distributed through Capitol Records. Her sound blends pop and electronic textures with confessional, diary-like songwriting.

CYN introduced herself to wider audiences with her 2019 debut EP «Mood Swing», which showcased tracks such as «Drinks» and «Believer» and established her as an artist comfortable moving between glossy pop hooks and more intimate, moody electronic production.
