About the artist
Cory Asbury is an American worship leader, songwriter and pastor best known for the global worship anthem «Reckless Love», released in 2017 and included on his 2018 solo album of the same name. Raised in the mountains of North Carolina, he began leading worship as a teenager and later spent years serving in full-time ministry at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, an experience that shaped the intimate, devotional style of his songwriting.
In 2015 Asbury joined the Bethel Music Collective, the worship community based around Bethel Church in Redding, California, and became one of its most recognizable voices. Beyond «Reckless Love», his catalog includes songs like «So Good to Me», «Where I Belong» and «Son of God», the last recorded with Bethel Music. His sound blends contemporary worship arrangements with a raw, personal vocal delivery centered on themes of God's pursuing love.
Asbury continues to lead worship at churches and conferences internationally, and his work sits at the intersection of the modern worship movement and charismatic evangelical culture, alongside artists such as Bethel Music and Hillsong.
