Conan Gray

Conan Gray is an American singer-songwriter born in San Diego, California, who spent part of his early childhood in Hiroshima, Japan before his family settled in Texas. He first built an audience as a YouTuber, posting cover songs, original music, and lifestyle content before transitioning into a full-fledged pop career, signing with Republic Records and releasing his debut EP, Sunset Season, in 2018.

His breakout single «Heather», released in 2020, became a viral, era-defining bedroom-pop anthem about unrequited longing and jealousy, showcasing his knack for confessional, diary-like songwriting wrapped in melodic, synth-tinged pop production. His debut album Kid Krow (2020) and its follow-ups, Superache (2022) and Found Heaven (2024), traced an evolution from intimate, lo-fi pop songcraft toward more theatrical, 1980s-influenced synth-pop and glam textures.
