Citybois

Citybois is a Danish pop duo formed by Anthon Edwards Knudtzon and Thor Farlov, who first became known to the public as contestants on the eighth season of X Factor Denmark (2015), where they finished fourth under mentor Thomas Blachman. That platform gave them an immediate national audience and led directly to their debut album, What Bois About To, released in English.

Following that debut, the duo made a deliberate shift to singing in Danish, a change that reoriented their career toward the domestic market and brought them closer to the Danish pop and hip-hop scene, with tracks blending sung hooks, rap verses, and R&B-tinged production, as heard in songs like «Hånd i Hånd», «Pool», and «Sig Mig». Their sound throughout stayed light and radio-friendly, built around conversational, youth-oriented lyrics about relationships and everyday life.

Their final joint release before going on hiatus in 2020 was the album BOIS FOREVER, entirely in Danish, after which both members pursued separate solo careers. Songs like «Finde Tilbage», «Helt Fair», «Synger For Mig», and «Dum Som Mig» remain the group's most recognized output from that era, capturing a specific moment in Danish youth pop shaped by their X Factor origins.
