Chip Zien

Chip Zien is an American stage actor best known for originating roles in two landmark musicals directed by James Lapine. He played the Baker in the original Broadway production of Into the Woods, the Stephen Sondheim fairy-tale mash-up, and later starred as Mendel in Falsettos, the William Finn musical that moved from off-Broadway to Broadway in the early 1990s.

Unlike a recording artist building a discography, Zien's musical output lives almost entirely in cast albums tied to these stage roles.
