Chino Pacas

Chino Pacas, born Cristian Humberto Ávila Vega in 2006 in Apaseo el Alto, Mexico, is one of the young breakout stars of the corridos tumbados movement that has dominated regional Mexican music in recent years. He moved to the United States as a boy, settling with his family in Tampa, Florida, where he learned guitar and began posting covers and original songs on TikTok, quickly building an audience for his blend of traditional corrido storytelling with modern trap-influenced production.

His breakthrough came with «El Gordo Trae El Mando», a debut single that went viral and crossed onto the Billboard Hot 100, launching his career under Street Mob Records almost overnight. The song's success made him one of the fastest-rising figures in the new generation of corridos bélicos and tumbados artists, known for narratives about ambition, loyalty and street life delivered over sparse, hard-hitting instrumentation.

Since then he has released a steady stream of singles and collaborations, including tracks like «Modo Capone» and «Como Pancho Villa», cementing his place alongside peers in the wave of young Mexican-American artists who brought corridos tumbados into the mainstream US charts.
