About the artist
Cheryl, born Cheryl Ann Tweedy, is an English singer, dancer and television personality who rose to fame in 2002 as a member of the girl group Girls Aloud, one of the most successful British pop acts of the 2000s. Known simply by her first name, she became one of the UK's most prominent pop figures through the group's string of hit singles and later through her own high-profile media presence.
After Girls Aloud's run, Cheryl launched a solo career with the album «3 Words» in 2009, led by the UK number-one single «Fight for This Love». She followed with «Messy Little Raindrops» and «A Million Lights», the latter featuring the chart-topping «Call My Name». Her fourth album «Only Human» produced further number-one hits including «Crazy Stupid Love» and «I Don't Care», making her the first British female solo artist to achieve five UK number-one singles.
Beyond music, Cheryl became widely known to British audiences as a judge on «The X Factor», further cementing her status as a major figure in UK pop culture across both music and television.
