Chase & Status

Chase & Status are an English drum and bass duo from London, formed in 2003 by Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status), who met while studying in Manchester. On stage they are joined by MC Rage and drummer Andy Gangadeen, giving their sets a live, hard-hitting edge that helped them cross from underground raves into festival main stages.

Their sound fuses drum and bass with hip-hop, dubstep, garage and pop hooks, a formula heard on albums such as «More Than a Lot», «No More Idols» and «Brand New Machine». They have worked with major names including Rihanna, Plan B, Tinie Tempah, Example and CeeLo Green, and their singles «Time», «No Problem» and «End Credits» became UK chart staples that widened drum and bass's mainstream reach.

Beyond performing, Milton and Kennard run the independent label MTA Records, championing new bass-music talent, and continue releasing music such as «Baddadan» and «BACKBONE» that keeps them central to British dance music decades after they started.
