Chaos Chaos

Chaos Chaos is an American sister duo from Brooklyn, New York, made up of Chloe Saavedra on drums and Asya Saavedra on vocals and synths. The pair began performing as children in Seattle under the name Smoosh, releasing their debut album She Like Electric in 2004 and building a cult following through their early teens as a genuine kid-fronted indie-pop act.

In 2012 the sisters rebranded as Chaos Chaos to signal artistic growth and a shift away from their childhood project. The new name references Chaos carolinensis, one of the largest known amoebas, reflecting the duo's interest in constant transformation and shape-shifting in their sound, which blends dreamy synth-pop, R&B-tinged production, and understated vocal melodies.

Chaos Chaos released their debut EP, S, in 2012, followed by a self-titled full-length album in 2018. Their song «Do You Feel It?» gained a significant new audience after being featured in the animated series Rick and Morty, introducing the duo's atmospheric, synth-driven sound to a broader alternative and animation-fan audience beyond their original indie base.
