Cavetown

Cavetown is the stage name of Robin Skinner, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cambridge, England. Skinner began sharing homemade, bedroom-pop recordings on YouTube in the early 2010s, building an early, devoted fanbase that grew alongside the platform itself before eventually crossing over into mainstream success.

Cavetown's sound blends gentle indie folk and lo-fi bedroom pop with occasional electronic and rock textures, often built around soft vocals, ukulele or guitar, and warm, intimate production. Songs like «This Is Home», «Lemon Boy» and «Devil Town» became staples of a wider online music culture and found new life through viral resurgence, cementing Skinner's influence on a generation of DIY and bedroom-pop artists.

Beyond his own catalogue, Skinner has worked extensively as a producer and collaborator, notably co-writing and producing mxmtoon's debut album the masquerade, and has recorded with artists such as Chloe Moriondo. His albums, including Sleepyhead and worm food, alongside singles and covers, reflect a consistently DIY, independent approach paired with growing international touring success.
