Carl Brave x Franco126 was an Italian duo formed in 2016 by Roman singer-rapper-producer Carl Brave and singer-songwriter Franco126, both members of the Rome-based collective Guasconi. The pair had crossed paths earlier through the Wankers project before joining forces properly, releasing self-produced tracks on YouTube that they called «polaroid» — short, intimate musical vignettes of everyday life in Rome.

These pieces were later compiled into their debut album «Polaroid» (2017), which became a defining record of the emerging melodic, dialect-inflected wave of Roman rap and pop. Songs such as «Pellaria», «Sempre in Due» and «Noccioline» combined Carl Brave's warm, minimal production with Franco126's plaintive, melodic voice, resulting in a sound that felt more like conversational songwriting than conventional rap, rich with nostalgia and local color.

The duo's influence extended beyond their own catalog, helping shape a broader trend of introspective, melody-driven Italian rap in the late 2010s. In 2018 both artists shifted focus to solo careers — Carl Brave with «Notti Brave» and Franco126 with «Stanza Singola» — and the duo's social media presence was retired, signaling a deliberate, amicable move toward separate paths while «Polaroid» remained a touchstone of the era.
