Carín León

Carín León, born Óscar Armando Díaz de León Huez in 1989, is a Mexican singer, songwriter and guitarist from Sonora who became one of the leading figures in contemporary regional mexicano music. He started out performing with Los Reales before forming his own band, Grupo Arranke, which built a solid regional following ahead of his solo career.

He launched his solo career in earnest in 2018, quickly gaining traction with songs like «A Través del Vaso», and closed the year with his debut album «Amanecida Con Todo Y Con Todos». His follow-up, «El Malo» (2019), became his breakout project and cemented his place in the genre. Carín León's sound blends traditional banda and norteño textures with modern pop, country and even R&B influences, giving his music a crossover appeal beyond the traditional regional mexicano audience.

His 2021 album «Inédito» was singled out by Billboard as one of the best Latin albums of that year, and he was recognized as Revelation Artist of the Year at the 2019 Premios La Radio. Through his genre-blending approach and collaborations across Latin music, Carín León has become one of the most internationally visible artists in regional mexicano today.
