CaptainSparklez is the online alias of Jordan Maron, an American YouTuber and musician who rose to prominence through Minecraft gameplay videos and, especially, Minecraft-themed song parodies. His channel gained massive popularity with tracks like «Revenge» and «Fallen Kingdom», created in collaboration with singer TryHardNinja and animator Bootstrap Buckaroo, blending catchy pop-rap hooks with Minecraft storylines and became some of the most-watched gaming music videos of the early 2010s.

Beyond parody songs, Maron built a broader career as a full-time content creator, becoming one of the platform's earliest gaming stars and helping popularize the format of narrative-driven music videos tied to video games. In 2016 he began producing original, non-parody music and launched a separate channel, Maron Music, dedicated to showcasing his own tracks as well as promoting independent artists whose work he admired.
