Cannons

Cannons are an American indie pop trio based in Los Angeles, formed in 2013 when producers Ryan Clapham and Paul Davis met singer Michelle Joy through a Craigslist ad. Since then the group has built a catalog spanning several albums and EPs, developing a signature sound that fuses 1980s synthpop and dream pop with elements of funk and disco, wrapped in atmospheric synth textures and glossy, reverb-drenched guitars.

The band's defining trait is Michelle Joy's sultry, breathy vocal delivery, which sits at the center of Cannons' nocturnal, cinematic production style.
