B*Witched

B*Witched are an Irish girl group formed in Dublin in 1997, made up of twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch alongside Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O'Carroll. Emerging in the late-1990s wave of teen and girl-group pop, they carved out a distinct identity with an upbeat, Irish-inflected pop-dance sound that borrowed folk melodic touches and set them against glossy, radio-ready production.

The group achieved a remarkable feat rarely matched in UK chart history: their first four singles, including «C'est la Vie» and «Rollercoaster», all reached number one, establishing them as one of the biggest new pop acts of the era. Their music leaned on bright hooks, playful lyrics and a wholesome, energetic image that appealed strongly to a young pop audience while standing apart from the more R&B-influenced girl groups of the same period.

After releasing two albums, B*Witched disbanded in 2002, but reunited a decade later around the documentary series The Big Reunion, which reintroduced them alongside other acts from the era. They have continued performing together since, remaining a nostalgic touchstone of late-90s British and Irish pop.
