Bruno Coulais

Bruno Coulais is a French film composer known for his prolific and stylistically wide-ranging scores, spanning animation, documentary, and live-action cinema. He built his reputation through collaborations with animation directors, most notably Sylvain Chomet on «Les Triplettes de Belleville», and became internationally recognized for scoring the nature documentary «Le Peuple Migrateur» (Winged Migration), whose soaring orchestral themes brought him wide acclaim outside France.

Coulais is perhaps best known internationally for his work on «Les Choristes» (The Choir), for which he composed the choir pieces performed by the film's boys' choir, including songs that became standalone hits and earned him a César Award and international recognition.
