BØRNS is the stage name of Garrett Borns, an American singer, songwriter, and producer from the Lake Michigan town of Grand Haven. Before turning fully to music, he spent time as an amateur magician and performed at local clubs and events around West Michigan, later moving through New York City before settling in Los Angeles, where his career took off.

His music blends glam-tinged pop, dreamy psychedelic rock, and electronic production, anchored by a striking falsetto and vivid, sensory lyricism. His breakthrough single «Electric Love» and tracks like «10,000 Emerald Pools» established a lush, colorful sound that made him a fixture of 2010s alternative pop radio, signed to Interscope Records via the Windish Agency.

His debut studio album, Dopamine, released in October 2015, built on the momentum of his earlier Candy EP and folded in several of its songs alongside new material. The record showcased his knack for widescreen, romantic pop songwriting and cemented his identity as an artist defined by theatrical vocals and richly textured, retro-futuristic arrangements — qualities that continued through later songs such as «American Money», «God Save Our Young Blood», «Holy Ghost», and «Dopamine».
