Brad Kane

Brad Kane is an American vocalist best known as the singing voice of the title character in Disney’s animated film Aladdin (1992), performing songs such as «One Jump Ahead» and the Academy Award-winning duet «A Whole New World» alongside Lea Salonga. His clear, agile tenor and Broadway-inflected phrasing became closely associated with the Aladdin character for a generation of listeners, even though actor Scott Weinger provided the character’s speaking voice.

Kane reprised the role in later Aladdin-related projects, and his recordings from the film remain some of the most widely heard Disney musical performances of the early 1990s, helping «A Whole New World» become a global pop and adult-contemporary hit as well as a staple of stage and screen song compilations.
