boy pablo is the project of Nicolas Muñoz, a Norwegian singer-songwriter of Chilean descent whose bedroom-pop, lo-fi-tinged sound helped define a wave of laid-back, DIY-produced indie pop in the late 2010s. He began releasing music as a teenager, with early singles «Flowers» and «Beach House» building a small but devoted following through the Bergen-based label 777 Records.

His breakout came with the 2017 EP Roy Pablo, whose warm, jangly guitars and casually delivered vocals — especially on the widely shared track «Everytime» — resonated with a global online audience well beyond Norway. The EP’s DIY charm and self-aware humor, paired with its home-video-style music videos, became a signature of his early aesthetic.

boy pablo went on to perform at festivals including BergenFest and Slottsfjell, and later expanded his sound across subsequent releases such as «Sick Feeling», «Losing You» and «Dance, Baby!», incorporating more polished production while keeping the intimate, conversational songwriting that first drew listeners in. His music sits comfortably within the bedroom-pop and indie pop scene, often noted for its blend of youthful vulnerability and understated groove.
