BOL4

BOL4 (볼빨간사춘기, meaning "red-faced adolescence") is a South Korean indie-pop act formed as a duo of vocalist Ahn Ji-young and guitarist Woo Ji-yoon. The pair met on the audition show Superstar K6 and later signed with Shofar Music, debuting in 2016 with the mini album Half Album RED ICKLE. Their music is built around gentle acoustic guitar, soft vocal delivery, and lyrics that dwell on the small, embarrassing feelings of youth and first love, which earned them a reputation as the voice of shy adolescence in Korean pop.

Their breakthrough came with the full-length Full Album RED PLANET, whose lead single «Galaxy» climbed to number one on Korean charts after exposure on the television program Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook. The follow-up hit «Tell Me You Love Me» topped real-time charts on release, cementing BOL4 as one of the most commercially successful indie-rooted acts in Korea, with other favorites including «Travel», «To My Youth» and «Some».

In 2020, Woo Ji-yoon departed the group, and Ahn Ji-young has continued to release music under the BOL4 name as a solo artist, maintaining the project's signature diary-like songwriting and warm, understated sound.
