Bodo Wartke is a German singer-songwriter, pianist and cabaret artist known for witty, wordplay-heavy songs that blend comedy, poetry and virtuosic piano performance. Performing largely solo at the piano, he built his reputation in Germany's Kleinkunst (cabaret) scene, where clever lyricism and rapid-fire rhyming often take center stage over conventional pop songwriting.

His song «Barbaras Rhabarberbar», built around an extended German tongue-twister about a rhubarb bar run by a woman named Barbara, became his signature piece and a viral hit that introduced him to audiences well beyond the cabaret circuit, spawning sequels and countless live variations. Other well-known pieces such as «Der dicke Dachdecker» and «Das Land, in dem ich leben will» showcase his recurring blend of humor, social commentary and technical lyrical dexterity, occasionally venturing into rap-influenced rhythmic delivery over piano accompaniment.
